Although the food was delish, I had other issues. It's 10 degrees outside today and it was freezing in the Resturant. I asked to please turn the heat up and I was told by our waitress Candy that the heat could not be turned up. Once she gave me the bill, she kept asking can you pass me your tray, can you pass me that trash so finally I said can you wait till we get up to clean our table. I was alittle disappointed. Also I went to use the restroom and had to go into three stalls before I could us the bathroom, the Resturant hasn't been open but an hour before we arrived, so you would think the bathrooms would be clean.

This is your typical Famous Dave's meaning they serve your typical Famous Dave's food. And for a large chain bbq, Famous Dave's food waivers from 3 to 3.5 stars. The best bbq tends to be at the hole in the wall or side of the road places. But Famous Dave's does well for a sit-down chain. Mostly, I tend to like the meats here (wings, brisket, ribs, fish, etc.) My most recent favorite meat option is called burnt ends, delicately charred juicy brisket morsels. They are small, tender beef brisket pieces tossed in bbq sauce with the fat of the meat contributing to their smoky flavor. It pairs well with the coleslaw and came in a combo with a third of a slab of ribs and another side for about $19. The portion sizes are beyond satisfactory, as is often the case with bbq. I find in general however that the side dishes leave much to be desired. So I stick to fries as not to experience further disappointment. I believe firmly that restaurant reviewers should allow restaurants to stay in their lanes. What really sets this Famous Dave's apart is the atmosphere. With a sort of industrial chic look, you can tell thought went into the decor. The light is set to a comfortable dim. The high ceilings are adorned with pictures of African American blues legends and brick accents. The tables and booths mimic the warm and cool mix seen everywhere else, with some natural wood elements blended with metals and metallics. The wait staff have friendly attitudes. This is certainly a nice addition to the BLVD and I hope it sticks around.

Hit or miss in other words a Tale of 2 Customer Service experiences 1st time here was in March 2015. We came for a post marathon meal and sat at the bar while we waited for our table. Solid liquor choices and bartender made a non-alcoholic drink for me that was great. Once seated our server was fantastic - nice and accurate with our order and didn't hesitate to refill our drinks or grab to-go boxes when we were ready. 2nd time here was April 2015. I stopped by to pick up dinner so I headed over to the To Go area. I placed my order and also ordered a fountain lemonade. I sat down to wait for my order and the young woman I placed my order with brought me my drink in a regular cup (instead of the to-go cup). I figured since it would be a long wait I would be able to get a refill. NO. I asked if I could have a to-go cup and was told - they're out. The young man nearby said oh we have kids' cups, so I said that's fine and the young woman starts to ring me up. Ummm. I don't think so. This was after I had tipped her on a to-go order...yeah only will be eating in at this location or skipping the tip on to-go orders. Famous Dave's is one of my favorite little restaurants but this franchise location needs some serious customer service training and I guess a re-stock of supplies.

First of all lets me completely clear this is NOT a Famous Dave's. Not as you know it anyway. It has a lot of the same items but it's not even the same menu. The Mac-n-cheese has corn, scallions, and peppers in it! Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Upon walking in there were only 3 people at the bar so we chose to have a seat there. The bartender ( doing nothing) failed to greet us and even walked away, joked around with someone and came back. We ordered are drinks and our mediocre food came out super quick. That made me nervous. It wasn't even enough time to cook. The bartender again doing nothing did not ask how our meals were and stayed in conversation with another gentleman at the bar. We paid our bill and left. We won't be returning.

**This is me doing the happy dance!** Why am I doing the happy dance? Because Famous Dave's is finally nearby and I'm no longer forced to drive all the way to Alexandria or Laurel or Waldorf just to get some of the goodness they are offering. This location is much needed and highly welcomed. There is a separate entrance for dining-in and take-out, which are marked clearly so there's no confusion. I stopped in quickly for a takeout meal and the staff was super friendly and helpful and my food was ready and delivered quickly. And that meal? Delicious! I love this place already!

They're so childish..I try to go to the to-go area & they NEVER greet you and one hostesst/to-go specialist is told to wipe down the counter & tells the manager "you got me bent"...I left after realizing immediately tha they don't keep the place clean. I'll be calling the health inspector...ratchet ghetto employees...ugh! If you can't clean a d@mn counter I can only imagine what your kitchen looks like. They need to stop hiring these ratchet kids.

I've been to Famous Dave's before. I have always thought it was OK. This location was pretty empty at 12:30PM which was kind of a shocker. But I had very limited time and I was hungry and did not want to eat at a real fast food place. I sat at the bar, and ordered. The food came quick and the service was great: NOT A GIVEN with an empty restaurant. I had brisket off the lunch menu: meat on a slice of Texas toast with a small side of dirty mashed potatoes and a little cornbread muffin. It was good. I don't love their sauce and wish they would not put it on in the kitchen. But it was good, just enough and hit the spot. First, lets start with the idea that it is IMPOSSIBLE to have a real chain-store barbecue restaurant. I don't love chain restaurants but there are times when it is good to have them. They are a known thing, and not too bad. Not great, not amazing and rarely are they ever an experience but they are OK. Dave's is OK.

As I was driving along 495 and my friends and I were hungry for barbecue. We settled at the Famous Dave's where US Air Area was once was. It wasn't packed. Hostess was cool. We sat down immediately. We got our drinks. The margaritas were good better than some of the Mexican restaurants I go to. Since it was still lunch time hour we settled for the lunch menu. I got pulled barbecue sandwich it came with a baked potato and sweet pickles. The sandwich was good but next time I'll order it without cheese. They have 4 different sauces, I like the sweeter one. The only thing I didn't like was my baked potato. It wasn't fully cooked. It wasn't soft. I had a lot of firm potato, if that makes sense. My friends got ribs, and love it. Cornbread was good but a little bit to sweet and the paper cupcake liner stuck to the cornbread which made mine crumble. Our server was a nice guy. Always checking on us and kept our glasses full. I like this location and will return and will have to check out the whole shopping center.

So I have been to this location a couple of times. The first time was okay I sat at the bar and had a couple of Margarita's. Very tasty. The next time the place was not to crowded however the service was very slow. We had to ask for utensils after our food was served so it was getting cold as we waited. The waitress then returned to say the did not have any right now and she would get us some plastic forks. The bus boy did manage to find some for us. The food was not bad however due to the service I don't think that I would recommend it if you're hungry. Maybe I will give it another chance one day.

I won't get wordy with this review. No need to. I'll put down the basics. Cons: *Poor customer service attitudes. Also seems like employee training was bare-bones. *Abbreviated menu. It's not the full menu I've seen at other Famous Dave's. Definitely a drawback of being a franchise. *Food came out cold and incomplete. Pros: *PLENTY OF PARKING! O.o *New and shiny and clean. I don't know what it is about any establishment that gets tossed into The Boulevard, but it seems to be that everything is a half a**ed effort by all. I can't take it.

The service here is excellent, and I hope that it stays that way. The food was great as always and our waitress, Nicki, was excellent! Right now they do not offer the baby back ribs with the Memphis Dry Rub, my favorite, they may offer it soon!! Note to management...the lady's room is not the employee lounge..you need to notify employees that they still represent the company anytime they are in the building or even near the building. I really want this spot to succeed and you're starting off great, just keep it up!!

I've lived in the area for about 3 years and I'm really surprised this place is still in business, esp. after watching La Tag go down after about 7 months. Prices seem way out of whack for what you get, I got a lunch portion salad which was decent but nothing super special. Corn bread tastes more like cake than bread but other than that it was just another chain BBQ place. It looks like it has a nice bar/outdoor area though so maybe I'll revise my review after I check that out.

Visited the Largo location to pick up my To-Go order and boy was I surprised! This restaurant is stunning on the inside! The decor is very "blues inspired" and super clean. I believe this Famous Dave's has only been open for a few weeks. The young ladies that assisted with our take-out order were helpful and pleasant. I don't think many people are aware of this location yet because when we went at lunch time it was practically empty. Im sure the word will catch on soon. As many other reviewers have noted, this particular establishment does not accept coupons (not sure why). Very happy with my food, service and the ambiance at this restaurant. I will be returning!

As I always do when trying a new BBQ joint, the first thing I look for in the menu is a brisket. Was happy to find that here, along with mashed potatoes and a jalapeño cheddar macaroni and cheese. The brisket was dry, so I had to ask when it was cooked. Yesterday, they said. Gotta throw in the towel, I'm done with this place. Good decor, clean restaurant, with friendly staff earns it two stars.. but if you're going to serve BBQ you can't serve up yesterday's food.

So after having terrible experiences trying to get carry out orders from Friday's and I rebar and grill, I decided to take a chance and go to famous Dave's at the boulevard. This plaza is not what it was intended to be. Many stores are vacant but that's another story for Another day. Called famous Dave's the phone was answered right away by a very friendly person who is also informative after I told her I did not have a menu in front of me she graciously gave me the selection of burgers. Now that is why all of these establishments should answer the phone on the first ring and none of these people on hold. There are so many other places to take your business. Way to go famous Dave's!

Slow, slow, slow, slow and just plain slow. No one is busy and everything takes forever. No communication with the customers; just plain bad bad bad customer service. Just shut the place down already. Don't put ppl through this torture. Ppl are so concerned with closing their station that I was left waiting 30 mins for a bread pudding to go and it came out cold with the guy giving me instructions on how to heat it up. Sorry Prince George's I'll opt for the VA location. #Pathetic

Beware if you are going to Famous Dave's with a birthday coupon. This particular location doesn't accept them. There reasoning is because they are a " franchise" and the coupon (buy a meal and get a second meal for half price) is a corporate coupon. This makes no sense to me, nor do I care. Nothing on the coupon say corporate coupons only. The general manager whose name is Darrell Cooper also keep repeating that they just open last week and do not know how to honor such coupons to come back in a few weeks and maybe they will be accepting coupons. I did mention that birthday coupons are only valid 1 week after you birthday. He said that there was nothing he could do about that. So fine, I was there on lunch break and didn't have time to go somewhere else. When I get back to the office I discovered that they forgot my cornbread. $10.91 for 2 meat item and one side is not worth it. I understand this restaurant just opened but be prepared for coupons and discounts. I'm not the only one.
